Who provides services at Kaleidoscope Educational Diagnostics?

Our team brings forty-five (45) combined years of experience in educational diagnostics and speech-language pathology. Diagnostic evaluations are conducted by credentialed educational diagnosticians, and literacy intervention and dyslexia intervention are provided by a licensed speech-language pathologist.

We have deep working knowledge of special education eligibility criteria in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas. So we understand what families in the Mid-South region are navigating at every step.

Our speech-language pathologists are trained in Orton-Gillingham methodology and structured literacy approaches, giving families access to intervention that is grounded in the science of reading.

When you work with us, you are working with clinicians who understand both the evaluation process and what comes after it.

What is the difference between a Screening and a Full Evaluation?

Screening: A brief 20-to-30-minute check to look for "red flags" in speech, language, or reading. It provides information used to determine if further testing is necessary. It does not provide a diagnosis.

Evaluation: A deep, multi-hour diagnostic testing battery. It identifies the exact breakdown, provides a formal clinical diagnosis.

What is the difference between Literacy Intervention and Dyslexia Intervention?
  • Literacy Intervention: For students who are struggling to keep up with reading and spelling expectations due to gaps in instruction, learning disruptions, or developing phonics skills, but do not have a diagnosed reading disorder.
  • Dyslexia Intervention: Highly intensive, explicit structured literacy built on Science of Reading frameworks and designed specifically for neurodivergent learners with a formal dyslexia diagnosis or a matching clinical profile.
